It will be open at St Denys Community Centre (SO17 2JZ) on Saturday, September 15 from 10.30am-1pm.
So if you’re wondering what to do with that broken toaster or jumper full of moth holes or broken precious object, then take it along. The general rule is that it needs to be small enough to carry in – so white goods are a no-no!
Transition Southampton say all their repairers will be there except for those who can help with jewellery.
Liz Batten, a member of the Repair Café team, previously said about Repair Cafés:
"Sharing skills is a big part of Repair Café. So often we don’t tackle a repair because we don’t have the confidence in our ability. The informal sharing environment of Repair Café will hopefully encourage people to have a go, improving their confidence, sense of achievement and helping then to feel part of their community."
