Bitterne Park's only club night is on the move to celebrate five whole years of partying.

The Hill started five years ago this month and quickly gathered a loyal following of movers and shakers greasing the dancing floor at Bitterne Park Social Club. I'd met lots of other parents who wanted to party but not get back too late, and not travel too far in case the babysitter called them re. sick or naughty children, so the idea for The Hill came about.

With many of those children growing up and now babysitters themselves, parents are off the lead to travel further afield and stay up until the small hours – hence a move to The Shooting Star.

Thanks!

The Hill would like to thank everyone at Bitterne Park Social Club for their incredible support and friendliness over the past five years, especially steward, Angela and president Trevor, who always went out of their way to accommodate us. We will miss them, but remain firm friends. Also many thanks to other local  dudes and dudettes who have helped out along the way, including, Anna Gregan, Denis Pasero, Alex Dunlop and Colin Mcallister who brought their unique energy to many a crazy mash-up.

Cool and fun

The Hill are now DJ Collective, Astrid, Bad Tony and NikL, who joined the night after attending the first event. Bad Tony is a key player, bringing his phenomenal laser show to ensure the night always has incredible visuals and buzzing atmosphere, as well DJing bangin' rave and dance classics. Nik is another local music obsessive, playing cool tracks and dance floor fillers in equal measure, giving The Hill brand its reputation as a cool AND fun night out.

This Saturday is free before 10pm and only a couple of quid after that.

After Saturday, who knows where the Hill will end up, but be certain we will keep partying until we can no more....
