It looks as if the temporary bus stop near the Bitterne Park Hotel on Cobden Avenue reverts back to its former position on Cobden Bridge from Wednesday (Jan 9).

This is according to a City Red sign at the temporary stop.

UniLink have also confirmed that the stop is moving back to its original position.

We couldn't immediately reach Xelabus, which runs college buses.
There was no corresponding sign at the stop on the bridge today, but it looks ready for use now the roadworks have been cleared and the retirement flats are closer to completion. The bridge stop is fitted with a digital sign to show the times of buses, and a timetable panel.

There was no sign today of the bus shelter being returned, however. It was removed in 2016 while the building work took place, although possibly work on the waterfront path by the new flats needs to be completed first.
We were told at that time that when construction of the flats finishes it will be reinstated.
If you're feeling nostalgic for the old shelter, here it is pictured in 2012 – although possibly when this was taken useful more for shade from the sun than the rain!
