Chance to comment on proposals to 'extend controls on street drinking'

pspo sign portswoodFollowing the expiration of the existing public space protection orders (PSPOs) later this year, Southampton City Council is consulting on proposals to "extend controls on street drinking" for a further three years.

You can find out more and give your views – before Sunday March 24, 2019 – on the city council’s website.

Councillor Dave Shields, cabinet member for community wellbeing, said: “It is really important that we receive views on street drinking from people living, working and visiting the city. It only takes five minutes to complete the survey but could make a big difference to the wellbeing of the city.”
