Following the expiration of the existing public space protection orders (PSPOs) later this year, Southampton City Council is consulting on proposals to "extend controls on street drinking" for a further three years.

Councillor Dave Shields, cabinet member for community wellbeing, said: “It is really important that we receive views on street drinking from people living, working and visiting the city. It only takes five minutes to complete the survey but could make a big difference to the wellbeing of the city.”
