Library friends back with new season of talks

portswood library under the dome logoFriends of Portswood Library have announced a new season of eight evening talks, from March to October, in partnership with See Southampton.

See Southampton offers tour guiding for groups and individuals, with the tag line “more history than you ever imagined” – wth the programme focusing on local history.

The first talk, on Wednesday March 13 from 7.30pm at Portswood Library, is titled: 'The Civic Centre - Southampton's Architectural Masterpiece' and offers a chance to hear from SEE Southampton Guide Godfrey Collyer the story behind Britain's first civic centre.

Talks advertised for the next eight months are as follows:
