Friends of Portswood Library's April Evening Talk is 'John Arlott: Southampton Policeman and Poet', taking place on April 10.

After serving twelve years as a Southampton policeman, Arlott was an English journalist, author and cricket commentator for the BBC's Test Match Special, noted for his "wonderful gift for evoking cricketing moments".

The talk, by Wendy Stokes, is at 7.30pm at Portswood Library.
