WHAT IS YOGA
Yoga is an ancient holistic system including physical postures , breathing exercises and meditation . If practiced regularly as little as once a week it can improve your posture , fitness , strength and stamina . It can also calm your mind and leave you more able to concentrate , focus and switch off from all our "First World " distractions . The beauty of yoga is that it can be practiced by anyone regardless of size , shape or gender . You may have seen in the press recently Prince Charles comments on yoga . The NHS is also recognising its health benefits
Sounds interesting ? Then why not join one of my yoga classes , workshops or retreats ? Beginners and returners are welcome . I can provide mats - just bring yourself , some comfy clothes - leggings or tracksuit bottoms and layers .
WHAT HAPPENS IN A CLASS ?
We start with an introduction to the class and what it will cover . There may be a short meditation or breathing exercise . We then do a warm up to get rid of any tension of stiffness . We then move onto to standing poses , seated poses , a cool down and then a blissful relaxation .
