It says it’s now out of stock of the following items at its food banks, known in Southampton as Basics Banks:
- Tinned meat (cold and for reheating)
- Tinned carrots
- Tinned sweet corn
- Tinned spaghetti
- Tinned rice pudding/custard
- Coffee
It also needs the following clothing:
- Men’s shoes, jeans, joggers, underwear, polo shirts, trainers
- Ladies nightwear
- Children’s shoes
Donations can be dropped off at any of Southampton City Mission’s Basics Banks when they’re open, or at their Millbrook warehouse by arrangement: there’s more information on their website.
You can also drop off donations at the Old Chemist at Bittern Park Triangle on Wednesdays from 10am - 3pm. Clothing can also be taken to the city’s Clothes Bank at the Church of Ascension, which is also on Wednesdays at the same times.
There's also a donation point in the corridor at the front entrance to St Denys Church & Centre.
