Manor Farm Road is effectively closed to traffic from the bottom of Bond Road towards Cobden Bridge.
It follows recent work that included excavation of a trench across the southern side to complete the replacement of cables and ducting, which saw Cobden Avenue narrowed to one lane for a short period.
In a recent update the council said this latest phase “will now include the widening of the entrance to the park and provide a new dropped kerb for cyclists from Cobden Bridge to use the toucan crossing or to enter the park. It will still include replacing the traffic signal cabling that spans Manor House Avenue (sic) at this location. This will require the closure of Manor Farm Road at the junction with Cobden Bridge. The signed diversion route for Manor Farm Road will be via St Catherine’s road for the duration of this phase”.
Work will also be taking place on the northern bridge footway for two weeks scheduled to start from August 30.

Signs say Triangle businesses are open as usual.
First Bus tweeted "Southampton City Red service 7 outbound is now on diversion because Bitterne Triangle (sic) has been suddenly closed. This is now been diverted via Cobden Avenue, Mousehole Lane, Witts Hill, Woodmill Lane, Forest Hills Drive then onto normal route back to City":
