It closed from around January 10.
The council said: “Over the past three weeks we have been working to address erosion damage that meant the path was not safe for public use. We have installed new guard railing and carried out remedial works to protect the path in the most severely eroded area.”
The boardwalk forms part of National Cycle Route 23 and is a well-used route for both commuting cyclists and local residents. It opened in 2010.
