Work on new pedestrian safety features on Woodmill Lane appear to have now been completed, in time for the return to school after half term.

They comprise a new pedestrian island, high friction surfacing and new safety markings.
The surfacing is designed "to improve safety and driver awareness".
Woodmill Lane is used by many school children particularly on their way to Bitterne Park School, but it can be tricky to cross.
