Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS) is keen to ensure local groups that have sprung up in response to the coronavirus outbreak get appropriate support, and is asking them to complete a survey to help the build a fuller picture of voluntary action and help offers in the city.

SVS and partner organisations want to ensure groups “get the support and guidance they need, and are able to work collaboratively with other local organisations in order to ensure safe practice for vulnerable people and volunteers themselves”.
SVS says it’s currently working closely with Southampton City Council and Southampton City NHS Clinical Commissioning Groupto coordinate a voluntary, community and social enterprise sector response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
