Like so many activities, the normal meetings of the Portswood and area Dementia Action Group have had to stop due to the Covid 19 outbreak, but have continued online using the Zoom video conferencing app.

Group chair Katherine Barbour reports that she invited members to join using their phone or laptop.
The picture shows the group connecting with Zoom.
"Much laughter ensued as Simon Hill told a funny joke and Ron Meldrum did a card trick and played some boogie piano," said Katherine.
The group has now scheduled these meetings for every Tuesday evening at 6pm and all are welcome wherever you live in the city.
Katherine says she's also writing a newsletter which will be posted out to anyone who would like some activities that might help to fill the time together.
"People living with dementia have had their day care and normal weekly routine disrupted and they are struggling to understand what is happening. These efforts are an attempt to address this social isolation."
