The shop announced on social media that “it’s time for us bike mechanics to put our beers down and pick up our tools”.
It will be open with reduced hours (9am-1pm) from Monday (May 4) – although this week it’s fully booked for repairs.
The Triangle cycle workshop had been closed for a month
“We’ve been closed for a month. We’ve been covered by the government scheme. We furloughed the guys and we’ve got a grant covering the shop itself... [now] we’re ready to crack on,” said rideride’s Tim, who added that they’d shortly be making a special announcement for key workers.
