Kirsty said: "I was walking through Riverside Park, just behind the school, and saw a peregrine falcon on the grass. It had obviously just caught a bird. It was right by the school wall."
Another follower of local wildlife said there were peregrines nesting in a tall university building a couple of years back, and sparrowhawks can also be seen in the area.
Update: Commenting on our Facebook thread, Mark Painter said: "The picture is of a male Sparrowhawk not a Peregrine Falcon".
