As reported on March 17, it was one of the first Triangle businesses to announce closure “until the [coronavirus] storm has passed”.
“As much as possible we’ll be trying to get back to normal,” said Graham Cotton, who said in March he’d hopefully “be giving [bitternepark.info] a shout from the rafters mid-summer to tell people we’re reopening”.
And now he has. Hours will be the same as usual, but Graham said he’d have to try it to see if it needs adjusting.
He described his lockdown as being “a bit hideous”.
“But what choice had I got? My wife’s got to shield... and of course because of my age I had to self-isolate anyway.
“But it’s just one of these things. We’ve just got to hope now.
“I don’t like letting people down, but I had little choice in the matter. And I think a lot of other businesses feel the same.”
The bakery has been at the Triangle for 47 years.
