The council is reinstating the 24-hour Itchen Bridge toll from August 10.

Charges were suspended during the lockdown “to support key workers across the city”, the council has announced.

Limited charging was subsequently introduced in June.

Now the council says it’s going to bring back 24-hour charging to “further manage the number of vehicles using the crossing”.
