The event features a musical and theatrical treasure trail, with performances around our stretch of the river, with some places accessible on foot, such as at the swan jetty and the greens around St Denys.

Boat Club organiser Alan Gibson told bitternepark.info that it was being posponed for two weeks, until September 5.

He said he'd been out in a boat today and it was "pretty lumpy", and that anyone who is not particularly experienced could get into serious problems on the water tomorrow, given likely conditions with strong winds forecast for the duration of the event.

The art exhibition, being held in the Boat Club hall off Priory Avenue in St Denys, is still likely to be going ahead from noon until 5pm.
