The cash was donated despite the display having to be scaled down due to social distancing requirements.
It goes to Abby’s Heroes, a charity which helps “children and their families after the harsh reality of a diagnosis of cancer”.
Contributions were made by spectators on the evening and online.
Sally Randall from Abby's Heroes thanked Bitterne Park and the organisers for their support, saying they: "Would really like to extend our thanks to the whole community of Bitterne Park for the Socially Distanced Halloween Night organised by Liam @ Haunted_House_on_the_Hill
"This is the second year we have been supported by the people of Bitterne Park and we are totally overwhelmed and humbled by such a fantastic donation. Liam and his family and friends work tirelessly to make Halloween such an incredible night!
"Special mention to the Track 21 Team who donated all sales from their coffee shop on the 31st, which really evidences the support and community spirit that can be found in Bitterne Park."
On Twitter the Haunted House on the Hill account wrote:
“Thank you Bitterne Park! It was good to be able to do something in this strange year! Thank you again to everyone who decorated, displayed the charity poster and donated! See you next year!”
