‘Real’ Christmas trees can be taken to the Millbrook recycling centre, or left with your garden waste bin, if you subscribe. The tree has to be cut into “manageable pieces” for it to be collected.
Between January 4-15 you can also put your tree out with your general waste bin – again, having cut it into manageable pieces.
The council says trees taken to the recycling centre are recycled into compost, while energy from those collected is converted into electricity.
