Portsmouth newspaper The News has published a feature on candidates standing in May’s election for Hampshire police and crime commissioner.

"It's a powerful job won only by election that comes with a salary of more than £86,000," says The News, which spoke to the Labour, Liberal Democrat and Conservative candidates.
The Conservative candidate is former Portsmouth City Council leader, and leader of the city Tory group Donna Jones.
Winchester man Richard Murphy is standing for the Lib Dems, while Bitterne Park local Tony Bunday is Labour's candidate.

Elections are due to take place on Thursday, May 6 this year - alongside elections for local councillors who will represent local wards on Southampton City Council.
City wards each have three councillors, and at each council election one of their seats is contested.
In Bitterne Park ward, where all three councillors are Conservative, Cllr Ivan White's seat will be put up for election in May.
