A new school specialising in special education needs is planned for the former St Mary's Independent School senior department site.

Yarrow Heights School – apparently so named because there's much yarrow growing in the grounds – aims to open in September.
Chairperson Anne Marie Carrie said in a press statement this week the school would serve an "increasing school-aged population diagnosed with SEN" in the region.
As reported, governors of St Mary's Independent School on Midanbury Lane made the "difficult decision" to place the school into administration in May 2020.
