Busy at Feed the Community Project in St Denys

feed the community project feb 21Volunteers said they had many 'customers' this morning (Feb 19) outside St Denys Boat Club at the Feed the Community Project stall.

Local parents now delivering food parcels to 60 households a week

They distribute food for free from 11am-12.30pm on Fridays to those who need it, with a main focus on fruit and vegetables. Victoria Ugwoeme, pictured right, said it was also the first day they'd given out items from Southampton Scrapstore - currently closed to the public - which had been going down well particularly with children.
