Emergency services called to incident by boardwalk in St Denys

 Around ten emergency vehicles were seen parked by Horseshoe Bridge, next to boardwalk in St Denys during the early afternoon, including police, ambulance and coastguard.

Someone was reportedly in the water near the boardwalk, but eventually came out.

Hants police marine unit tweeted at 2.43pm: "Marine Unit called in to support @hillheadcg, @hamblelifeboatand @SouthamptonCops with a multi-agency concern for welfare incident in the water in Southampton. The incident was resolved safely and was a great effort from all teams involved"
