Organiser of the Bitterne Litter Team Volunteers David Eddy says he's regretfully having to stand down.
Before the pandemic the litter busters famously used to meet "for just one hour" every three weeks in an effort to "keep Bitterne tidy".
David said: "It is with regret that due to personal reasons, I find myself unable to start up the Bitterne Litter Team Volunteers again.
"I am therefore looking for someone to take on that work although I hope to continue as a volunteer.
"The person undertaking this will require some computer skills, transport to move the pickers, rings, hi-viz kit etc. and a reasonable size space to store the kit following each event.
"If you feel able to take this on, please let me know."
