Colleague Martin Pavey reminisces in his speech at Norma's retirement party
Over eighty friends and colleagues came together on March 13 to wish Norma Belbin, the Supervisor at Cobbett Road Library, a happy retirement.
Norma first joined the library service in 1969 and worked at the Central Library. Later she worked in the branch libraries, and returned permanently to Cobbett Road in 1993.
In 1999 she became Supervisor there, and has overseen the introduction of the people’s network, as well s changes in the computerised library system.
Norma says she has lots of plans for her free time and should be able to fit in an occasional visit to the library!
