Much needed work is expected to take place in June to smarten up the meeting room at Cobbett Road Library.
There are plans to update furniture, sand and varnish the floor, smarten wood panels and
to paint the walls and ceiling. It’s likely the room, which is used for
a broad range of activities by all sorts of groups, will be out of
action for a short time while work takes place.
Bring a plant A "bring a plant and trowel" session is also planned, prior to the next
Friends of Cobbett Road meeting on Saturday May 31, to liven up the
borders at the front of the library. Keen gardeners are especially
welcome to help plan out and plant the borders, say the Friends.
Meet at 11am on May 31 for planting, to lead in to the next Friends’ meeting.
