Londis in Oaktree Road is well on the way to completing its refit following the closure of the post office section of the shop in February, says owner Clive Foley.
Most of the work on the shop has been carried out by local tradepeople, and the revamped store will include a small deli, a sandwich making area and hot drinks to take away. The tills have been moved to the left hand side of the store as you enter, with the takeaway food area replacing them on the right hand side. Clive says the free-to-use cash machine is proving particularly popular, and the shop also stocks a range of essential fresh vegetables.
