Updated: Will fluoride be added to our water?

South Central Strategic Health Authority is launching a public consultation in Southampton and south west Hampshire on the issue of adding fluoride to the water supply.
Update 2 Aug:
Consultation put back to September 8 -  Daily Echo.

This consultation is thought likely to begin in August. However if you wish to have your say now the Daily Echo are currently holding their own debate on fluoridation.

Southern Water is not confirming which areas will be affected in Southampton, but a map shown on the Daily Echo website suggests that at least half of the population of Bitterne Park will be affected.

Information on the public consultation will be found at the Southampton City Primary Care Trust website.
