Community group Knightwood Oak Foresters have been supporting New Forest based children’s charity Honeypot throughout 2008, and for a second year running have enlisted the help of Santa and his sleigh to fundraise in the streets of Bitterne Park.
Honeypot provides respite holidays and a long-term programme of support
for young carers and children at risk. The charity provides them with a
break from demanding and stressful conditions at home through respite
holidays at Honeypot House, where they can have a break and develop
their full potential. It also gives support to teenage mothers and
their babies in a non-judgmental environment. The charity's vision is
for every child to make the most of their one chance at childhood.
