Riverside Pre-school has once again attained an Outstanding grading for all areas, under the new Early Years Foundation Stage criteria.

Ofsted carried out an inspection on December 4, which followed the grading it made earlier in 2008, when the Pre-School was the first in the City to be awarded an Outstanding grade for both care and education.

This is a wonderful achievement for Riverside, which is a community pre-school, and is down to the excellent management and committed staff members who work together to promote children’s learning.

The new Early Years Foundation Stage was introduced on September 1, and staff undertook training to enable them to fully understand and deliver the new curriculum ready for the Autumn Term, making the success even more impressive.
