If you’d like to reduce the waste you send to landfill, and turn it into a valuable and nutrient-rich food for your garden, then a subsidised composting bin could be the answer.

 

Southampton Council has joined up with the Recycle Now Home Composting Campaign, a government-funded scheme to encourage people to reduce the waste they send to landfill.

Recycle Now subsidises the cost of the bins and the home delivery. This means that Southampton residents can purchase a standard 330ltr black compost bin for only Ł20 when the regular price is Ł50. Free home delivery is also included in this reduced price.

The offer is subject to availability and closes March 2009.
