A previous litter haul
Chessel Bay Local Nature Reserve is due to have its spring Litter Pick on Saturday, March 21 - and you're invited to help.
If you'd like to help with the clear-up, you can turn up any time between 10am and 1.30pm at the entrance to the Nature Reserve at the end of Quayside Road, Bitterne Manor.
Organisers say there's always a lot to do, as a huge amount of rubbish is brought in by the tide. Last autumn a good turn-out of people made huge inroads into the debris, which is mostly plastic bottles.
Volunteers are advised to wear sturdy clothing. Under 16's need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. There are no toilets on site.
