Woman hurt in Townhill Park assault

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked outside shops in Townhill Park.

Police say the attack, outside the shops in Meggeson Avenue, took place at around 6.20pm on Thursday, March 5. Officers managed to find the victim a short time later and she was taken to Southampton General Hospital where she is being treated for head injuries - which are not believed to be life threatening.

The motive for the attack is not known.
 
Detectives are asking anyone who saw the attack to contact them.
