The first speed dating event that includes dance tuition comes to Portswood in April.
Strictly Speed Dating will be hosting its first speed dance-dating
event in Southampton on Saturday, April 4 - the first event of its kind
to hit the south coast. Twenty men and women will be donning their
dancing shoes to trip the light fantastic and meet like-minded singles
in the area. Strictly speed dating is a new concept in the south, created by the owners of the DM Dance Centre in Portswood, Southampton. Singles are given some easy dance tuition and a chance to chat at the fully licensed bar before picking the participants they would like to meet again. “It’s an easy way of meeting new people - and might even ignite a new passion in peoples lives, dancing!” said the owner of DM Dance Centre, Christine Diment.
The DM Dance Centre is not new to playing cupid. Success stories are rife, with many couples meeting at their dance classes. One such success story is that of Paul and Lisa Roberts who met at the dancing school in 1990 and have now been married for ten years!
