You can visit 52 stalls, see 21 stage performances and 18
presentations, enjoy funfair dodgems, a free BBQ and a farmer's market,
and hear live music at the University of Southampton’s Summer Festival
on Saturday April 25.
The event, organised by the Students’ Union, runs from 12-4pm at the
Highfield campus. It aims to celebrate what happens at the University
away from degree study, and bring the community and University closer
together.
Students will also be raising money for the local Rose Road
Association's appeal 'Change my life', while residents can enjoy a
diverse mix of presentations from different student societies - from
the jazz and gospel choir and wind orchestra right through to the Duke
of Edinburgh society and African Caribbean society.
Mayor of Southampton, Cllr Brian Parnell, and a member of the University and Students' Union staff will give a speech from 1pm.
