You can do your bit for nature by helping the Friends of Riverside Park plant shrubs and wildflowers in Riverside Park on Sunday June 7. The event is part of the BBC Breathing Places Dirty Weekend project Stop press: Groundwork Solent will also be displaying plans for the new play area at this event. See also this story.
Meet near the composting/picnic area (widely known as ‘The Glimpse’) from 2.30pm. All seeds will be provided.
Children are welcome (under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible
adult); nearest park entrance to this event is next to Bitterne Park
Infant School.
