The Art House has recently relocated from Bedford Place to the City centre (Above Bar Street) and now more than ever needs your support to keep on providing food, arts and crafts.

The Art House has now a new home in the heart of Southampton but it is still entirely self-funded - the only income raised through the cafe and arts activities goes back into making the space better.
 

As the volunteers that run the Art House report: “People ask how we keep going - we mainly answer, in unison, 'cake'!  Unfortunately the landlord doesn't except cake as payment, and so we have to find just over Ł15000 per year just to rent the building,"

 

With the first rent and bills due, the Art House has about a Ł600 shortfall and is looking for people who would be willing to donate or lend what they can afford - or to simply attend an event or a workshop, have a bite to eat or purchase some clothes or crafts.

And if you'd like to donate your time instead, then the Art House always needs volunteers, help with moving stuff, washing up and cleaning, workshop facilitators, makers, artists.
