Free art event to celebrate the Itchen Navigation

You can watch a dance performance and participate in a giant land draw at a free art event at Riverside Park, near Woodmill, from September 18-20.

The dance performance is inspired by the Itchen Navigation and performed by local secondary school students from Hounsdown Secondary School
in collaboration with Wise Moves Dance.

You can also help draw a huge picture of salmon and eels out of woodchip, sand and grass cuttings. The image will highlight the wildlife of the Itchen Navigation and celebrate animal migration and extraordinary life cyles.

The event is organised by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

The schedule is as follows:

Public participation
12.00 — 5.00pm Saturday 19th Sept
11.00 — 3.00pm Sunday 20th Sept

Come and watch a dance performance:
4.00 pm Friday 18th Sept
4.00 pm Sunday 20th Sept
