The Daily Echo reports that an 88-strong petition has been lodged opposing a bid for retrospective change of use planning permission for Triangle café and deli Il Picchio. Parkwater Investments Ltd want change of use from A1 (shops) to A3 (restaurants and cafe). There have also been eight formal objections. The decision will go before the council's planning committee from 9.30am on Tuesday 27.
Il Picchio has been operating from the Triangle since March 2006.
